I have decided to open a Centuu helbreath server to the community here to test and of course to help cover more ground in finding bugs

excellent idea, we are all like a gear, some know more, others less, we can contribute our granite in different ways for a common cause.

-Going back to the topic of the files, there is a big error with the / getskills command, I raised the pj to lvl 19, I made it civil and use the / getskills command and it gives lost connection every time I try to enter the pj.

-Skills manuals can be used even if they do not have the required int, and therefore they are lost because they do not add the magic (it should be said that since they do not have the necessary int, they cannot be used)

I leave some images to make it clearer:

-position icons invi / pfm / etc

I know why is this happening for you guys. 

When Centuu was editing this source, it was meant to be a 180/200 low server, where you level your skills. Hence as per normal setup, the max skill one character can have is 700 ( 7 skills to have 100% ).

But because you do a /getskills gives you full 2300 ( 23 skills to have 100% ), the HGServer thinks you are hacking, because max skill is 700 ONLY.

You can fix that by going to the Gameserver/GameConfigs/Settings.cfg , you will see a character-skill-limit = 700, change that 700 to 2500, then you will not get connection lost.

This is the current fix. I could do a code exception where settings = HIGH server, the max skill is 2500, and when Settings = LOW server, max skill is 700.

I forgot that you can only have 700... When the /getskills is executed it hits everything at 100% even things that are not listed which goes way past 700 thus crash happens


I restarted the server T_T

I will do the changes later tonight on that. List more bugs so I can fix all of it one shot.

Thanks for the offer, but I dont need a GM account, rather I need access to the server itself to fix configs, and sources, and teach you how to put the HGServer on debug, so when it crashes, you know where it went wrong, and I could fix things faster, since you did say you are busy. :-)

I guess I could allow you both remote access Whatever system works best for you its best to be as accurate with the debugging process than to search for problems that don't actually exists.. I don't think I have visual studio installed on the server machine now that you mention it.. Let me create you guys  accounts and give you remote connection access...

I have fixed the aura's icons position, I'll be updating today the Client's source.

Fixed a little bug in Heldenian Type 1 torret's counter and Level Up! dialog position

If you want to try fix the positions of the dialogs and the initial sprites (login, create account, exit), etc
find where are the codes in client and add X+80, Y+60 to the actual positions...

Ill give it a go it doesn't look to major I know how to add stuff to the Client an HG server and adjust things but I don't consider myself a pro programmer by any means..  Id say i have made it slightly past "Hello World" But getting to the point how the functions work and importantly how you define them in the code..

creating code from scratch hurts my brain in its undertake. I came here to learn and advance my skills and maybe there are things you guys can teach me in its process..

I figure I better comes to terms in my skill set before I start looking inside these sources

Test server should be fully Active now, with LIFEX's help in isolating maps. Maybe this will help the community in perfecting the source itself I will need more testers  or GAME MASTERS  seems like... Or ill make a checklist an go down each thing one agonizing step at a time.. I might have 3 people from "Central standard time" who can test things on my end..

Yeah I think what works and what doesn't work checklist is a good idea.

I was testing the server... Everything seems good !

I will say your server source is moving closer in being done.  There are still very few minor bugs, I wont list them here in detail though. I will probably wait until you an LifeX finish your login to give you a bug report...

Idk what kind of Login is LifeX working on, but if you have a bug list post it here and we'll see it.
